Bus lane on Tregolls Road to be suspended from Monday 23 November A bus lane was introduced on the inbound carriageway of Tregolls Road, Truro, on 2 November. From the time that it was introduced, complaints were received from motorists about the long delays that it was causing on the inbound route to Truro, particularly in the morning rush hour. It had been hoped that the problems would ease as motorists became accustomed to the new layout. However, this did not happen and it was clear within a week or so that the problems were not going to go away. The Council carried out some monitoring of journey times which confirmed the anecdotal evidence that motorists were being delayed by about a quarter of an hour in the rush hour. On 20 November, the Council issued a press release (see below) announcing that the bus lane would be suspended as from Monday 23 November. Whilst I felt that this decision should have been taken sooner, it is nevertheless welcome news that this will happen now.
