Case for Cornwall: Council puts forward proposal to central government for more devolution of some powers and holds public consultation events

The Leader and others in the Council asking the government for more powers to be devolved to the Council and are putting forward a proposal under the title of "Case for Cornwall".

Public consultation meetings are being held at 4 locations. In Truro, it will be at County Hall on Monday 1 June at 7.30 p.m.

Further informaton about the proposal can be seen on the Council's website at Case for Cornwall

My own view on it is that it does not represent a coherent programme but is a collection of uncoordinated items, a few of which may be worth pursuing, but others have not been thought through properly. I do not support the proposal in its current form.
