Grampound Community Fund recommends approval of grants for 6 projects On 2 June, the local advisory panel met to consider applications for grants from the fund set up by Airvolution in connection with the Garlenick turbines. The panel resolved to recommend approval of the applications: Grampound Bowling Club: Improving the walkway around the bowling green by installing paving in place of the existing grass, £7,500 Grampound W.I.: Purchase and installation of a defibrillator in the village, £2,100 Grampound with Creed Parish Council: Repairs to the striking mechanism of the town hall clock, £1,500 St Pirans Multi Academy Trust (primary school): Storage facilities for games equipment etc. in the village hall, £700 Grampound Recreation Ground and Hall: External advertising and notice board, £260 Grampound Recreation Ground and Hall: Putting Grampound on the map, X marks the spot – a heritage and cultural project, £600 The total of the applications was £12,660. The money available in this year’s funding round was £15,000. The balance will be carried forward and added to next year’s allocation. On 15 June, Grantscape confirmed that its Board had ratified all of the applications recommended by the local panel.
