Grampound surgery: no application has yet been made to NHS Kernow to cease services in Grampound

Despite the fact that the doctors have given notice to the freeholder of the property in Mill Lane, Grampound, to terminate their lease, they have still not formally applied to NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group to vary their contract for supply of services. That contract obliges them to provide services in Grampound.

On 17 July, the Deputy Director of Primary Care at the CCG wrote to Grampound Parish Council as follows:

"Dear Mrs Thompson
Many thanks for your email. As I have already advised no decision has been made and currently no application has been received. If there has been inadequate patient engagement then NHS Kernow will not allow the application to proceed until this is rectified."
