Grampound surgery: told by the CCG to undertake more patient engagement and submit the evidence to the CCG The doctors at Probus Surgery have submitted to Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) their proposal to cease providing services from the building in Mill Lane, Grampound. The CCG have asked the doctors various questions about their proposals and have told them that they need to consult their patients in more detail before re-submitting a proposal. The information that the CCG provided to me was as follows: We can confirm that, following significant discussion at the PCOG meeting, the practice were asked to complete further engagement work. The group requested the engagement piece detailed below. The practice should extend the previous clinical patient audit to establish the total patient population that has routinely used Grampound surgery only during the period:

It was agreed that an updated paper be submitted back to PCOG in September for further recommendation. I can confirm that we are currently awaiting a detailed update from the practice but we do know that Dr Ball has contacted all patients that had attended Grampound Branch surgery and that a letter is going out to all patients to give a ‘follow-up’ update. I am also aware that the practice has spoken to Steve Double MP and updated him of the situation at Grampound Branch surgery.
