Cycle track from Tresillian to Truro opened by local councillors and Penair schoolchildren As part of the Eastern District Scheme, the developer was obliged to provide a cycle/footpath from Tresillian to the site. The path was completed in early May and is starting to be used. On 26 May, Cornwall Councillors Bob Egerton and Mike Eathorne-Gibbons mounted a tandem to mark the official opening of the link. They were accompanied by some keen young cyclists and teachers from Penair School and representatives from Sustrans. Cyclists and pedestrians can now cycle or walk off-road from Tresillian to the traffic lights at the entrance to the park-and-ride site. From there, they are advised to follow the paths through the park-and-ride site before coming out on to Newquay Road and then down Bodmin Road into Truro.
