Tresowgar Bridge re-opens

The bridge over the Tresillian river on the road leading from Truck to St Erme, the back of Tresillian and several farms in the rural part of Probus Parish was closed completely on 4 November in order that major works could be carried out. The deck of the bridge had been declared unsafe by structural engineers. A road closure was authorised and it was anticipated that it could be closed until Christmas. Local residents had been kept informed of what was happening and pedestrian access was maintained during the works.

I am pleased to advise that the work to replace the deck of the bridge was completed ahead of schedule and the bridge had re-opened by 7 December.

A big thank you to the Cormac team that did the work so efficiently and also to the local residents who accepted the inconvenience of the closure stoically.
