Western Greyhound operation taken over by Michael Bishop, the owner of other bus operations in the home counties On 10 December 2014, it was announced that Mr Michael Bishop has acquired the whole share capital of Western Greyhound from the existing owners. Mr Bishop will become managing director. This information is available on some of the local media websites, such as thisisthewestcountry but no further details are available at the moment. Whether or not this turns out to be good news for bus passengers remains to be seen. Passengers in those parts of Cornwall who have relied on Western Greyhound for its local bus services have suffered severely declining levels of service over the past few months. The track record of the new owner is not encouraging.
