Future of Grampound Surgery under threat as doctors announce potential changes to services

In 2011, the doctors at Probus Surgery put forward a proposal to close Grampound surgery premises and to centralise services more on Probus. This was very unpopular with residents of Grampound and also those in areas outside the village who appreciated being able to use the Grampound site. After full public consultation, the Primary Care Trust (PCT) ensured that Grampound remained open.

Now, in 2020, we are faced with a similar proposal. Some of you will have received a letter from the practice explaining how they might rationalise services and invited you to complete a survey. The survey does not, I feel, enable residents to express their views properly on the proposed changes to the services. Therefore, I am asking you to complete the survey that I have put together.

You can either complete the paper survey and return it to me in the post or drop it off in Grampound Community Shop.

Alternatively, you can complete the survey online: see Grampound Surgery Survey

I have already written to the practice manager at the surgery requesting further information, consultation and a public meeting before any closure is progressed.
